Art integration is more than including projects in class, it merges techniqes and art standards with a core cirriculm. Providing students with a creative environment has a number of positive effects, where they are being engaged, thinking as creative individuals,  and discovering things about themselves all while working in everyday core classes such as math or reading. Arts intergration has shown to improve math and reading scores in more than 1 school.  Along with rasing scores in testing areas, diciplinary problems have also decreased. Naturally, it involves ways of processing information that have been shown to improve memory. Not only is it benificial for the students, but the teachers as well. In 2010 Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education completed a 4- year research project on the impact of ars intergration on students and teachers. What they found was that it helped to close the acheivment gap, raise standerdized testing scores, improve student engagment, helping provide a fuller understanding of student learning. Below are charts made from the studies done through PFAIR showing improvment.
